About CGBSE Class 10 Science Syllabus 2024-25

Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education will release the syllabus in PDF format on its official website. CGBSE Class 10 Science Syllabus 2024-25 Course Structure

From the table below, students can check the names of chapters included in the syllabus. Going through the list of topics in the syllabus, students can prepare a timetable and divide the syllabus into smaller parts. This will make it possible for them to complete the syllabus in advance. Biology

1. Comparative study of the amount of carbon dioxide in exhaled air and atmospheric air.
2. To test the action of saliva on starch.
3. Identify the gas released during photosynthesis.
4. To study the male and female organs in a given flower.

Chemistry

1. To study the neutralization reaction.
2. To study the effect of moisture and air on iron.
3. To identify washing soda or baking soda from the given chemical samples.
4. To study the esterification reaction between alcohol and alkanoic acid.

Physical Science

1. To do a comparative study of Celsius and Fahrenheit temperatures through experiment and establish the truth of the related conversion formula.
2. To verify Ohm's law.
3. To verify the law of reflection with the help of a plane mirror.
4. To find the refractive index of a rectangular glass slab (or) to verify the laws of refraction.
5. To find the concave mirror distance by one pin method.
6. Lines of force drawn by placing the north pole of a rectangular bar magnet towards geographic north
7. Force by placing the north pole of a rectangular bar magnet towards the geographic south Drawing lines and finding indifference points (N-S).

How To Download CGBSE Class 10 Science Syllabus 2024-25?

To download the syllabus, students can visit the official website of the Chhattisgarh board. They can download the syllabus by following the easy steps mentioned below:

• Step 1: Go to the official website of the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education at cgbse.nic.in
• Step 2: You will reach the homepage, where you will click on the tab "Academic (Examination)".

CGBSE Class 10 Science Question Paper Design

• The duration of the question paper is 3 hours.
• 75 marks are allotted to the question paper and the remaining marks are allotted for the practical exams.
• All questions are compulsory.
• Question number 01 is Objective type. It contains three sections ‘A’, ‘B’, and ‘C’. Each section has 05 questions and each section carries 01 mark.
• Questions No. 2 to 6 are very short answer-type questions. Each question carries 2  marks. The maximum word limit for an answer is 30 words
• Questions No. 7 to 10 are very short answer-type questions. Each question carries 3 marks. The maximum word limit for an answer is 50 words.
• Questions No. 11 to 14 are short answer type questions. Each question carries 4 marks. In each question, internal choices are given. The maximum word limit for an answer is 75 words.
• Questions No. 15 to 16 are Long answer-type questions. Each question carries 5 marks. In each question, internal choices are given. The maximum word limit for an answer is 100 words.
• Questions No. 17 to 18 are Long answer-type questions. Each question carries 6 marks. In each question, internal choices are given. The maximum word limit for an answer is 150 words
