English Language

Question 1: A composition on one of a number of subjects Candidates will get an option of selecting one topic from the provided six choices Required length of the composition is 400-500 words
Question 2: (a) Directed Writing The required length is 200-300 words The piece should be written on the basis of information and points provided in the question Feature article, book review, speech writing, newspaper report and statement of purpose are the types of questions to be asked under this segment (b) Proposal Writing based on a given situation The proposal has to be written on the basis of information provided Introduction, Objectives, list of measures to be taken has to be included in it
Question 3: Short-answer questions to test grammar, structure and usage It will consist of transformation of sentences, phrasal verbs, and verbs/tenses
Question 4: Comprehension A 700 word passage will be provided. Students will have to answer the questions asked as a part of the question
