ISC Class 12 Political Science Exam Pattern 2024-25
: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) released the ISC 12th Political Science Exam Pattern 2024-25.
The ISC Class 12 Political Science exam 2025 will be held for 100 marks, wherein 80 marks will be for the theory paper, and 20 marks will be based on the internal assessment. A total of 3 sessions will be there in the question paper. Section A will have MCQs of 16 marks, section B will have short answers of 32 marks and section will also be of 32 marks with long answer type questions. ISC Class 12 Political Science Syllabus 2024-25 covers two sections - Section A and Section B. Chapters like Constitution and Government and Organs of the Government are included in Section A while Section B will comprise the chapters such as Indian Democracy. There will be a total of 10 chapters in the ISC Class 12 Political Science Syllabus including both sections. Students will be provided with the exam duration of 3 hours for the theory paper and the duration of the project work is 1 hour. ISC Class 12 Political Science Practical/Internal Assessment Blueprint 2024-25
The ISC Class 12 Political Science Practical exam will be conducted for 20 marks where students will be required to undertake one project which may be any one of the following:
- A case study.
- Survey study with a questionnaire.
- Research based project with in-depth analysis.
- Local/ national/ global political issue.
- Book review/ film review/ documentaries/ posters/ newspapers/ advertisements/ cartoons and art.
Assessment of Project Work will be done as follows:

ISC Class 12 Political Science Question Paper Pattern 2024-25
The ISC Class 12 Political Science question paper will include 22 questions in total which will cover MCQs, short answer type, and long answer type questions. Students preparing for the ISC 12th exam 2025 must start their preparation from now onwards. Students must get at least 35% in Political Science to pass the exam. The ISC 12th Result 2025 is expected to be declared in May 2025.
