About Karnataka SSLC Blueprint 2025

Three language papers and three core subjects are included in the curriculum for SSLC students in Karnataka. For the first language, the external exam will be conducted for 100 marks and 25 marks will be provided for internal evaluation. For the rest of the subjects, the external examination will be conducted for 80 marks. 20 marks will be provided for internal evaluation. The total marks allotted for external examination for all the subjects will be 500 and for internal evaluation it will be 125. The core subjects include Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. The total marks allotted for SSLC students are 625.

Students are required to get minimum passing marks in all the subjects to be eligible for the passing certificate. Students who get more than 90% marks in all the subjects will be awarded with A+ grade. Internal evaluation scores will be based on formative assessments conducted by school authorities based on rules and regulations created by KSEAB. Karnataka SSLC Blueprint 2025

Five subjects in Karnataka 10th board exams include English, Hindi, Math, Science, Social Science, and one optional subject. The total marks for each subject are 100. The theory paper comprises of 80 marks while the practical/ project work will be evaluated for 20 marks. The blueprint for each subject of the Karnataka SSLC Exam 2025 is given below:

Some important benefits that students can find after going through the Karnataka SSLC blueprint 2025 are mentioned below.

  • Familiarity with Marking Scheme - The exam pattern introduces students to the marking system followed by the board. This helps students to write the answers as per the marks allotted to the questions.
  • Better understanding of exam pattern - The students would be well-versed with the SSLC exam pattern as it gives an idea about the pattern of questions, types of questions, and difficulty level of questions.
  • Focus more on Important Topics - After going through the marking system, students can check the important topics according to the marks. They can pay more attention to the topics with the highest marks.

Karnataka SSLC Passing Criteria 2025

  • Students are required to score at least 35% marks out of the total hundred marks in the external examinations to be eligible for the passing certificate.
  • For the external exams which will be conducted for 80 marks, students are required to score at least 28 marks.
  • Out of the total 500 marks included in the External examinations, students are required to score at least 175 marks which is 35%.
  • Students must have scored at least 35% marks combined in both external as well as internal evaluations to pass.
  • Students who fail to do so can appear for second or third exams.

Karnataka SSLC Blueprint 2025 For Internal Evaluation

Students can check out more information about the internal evaluation and the marks that will be allotted according to FAs here:

  • Internal evaluation scores will be based on four formative assessments conducted in one academic year according to the schedule of the school authorities. These will be FA 1, FA 2, FA 3 and FA 4.
  • Each formative assessment will consist of a short test of 20 marks and two activities of 15 marks each. The total marks allotted for each FA will be 50.
  • The total marks for the four formative assessments will be 200.
  • If the marks are obtained in decimal then they must be rounded off to the next integers after all the figures are calculated at the end of the academic year.
