Karnataka SSLC Grading System 2025 is set by the Karnataka board to rate the performance of students. The grades range from A+ to C. Based on the performances of students, they are provided with the grades. Students who score more than 90 marks will be awarded with A+ grade.

Karnataka SSLC Grading System 2025 consists of grades from A+ to C. Students who score more than 90% marks in each subject will be awarded the first grade. Students need to score more than 563 marks out of the total 625 to be eligible for an A+ grade. The grades that the students have achieved in the exams along with their subject-wise score will be reflected in their marksheet. There are different grading systems eligible for first language and other language subjects included in the curriculum. Students are required to score more than 33% marks in both theory and practical exams to be eligible to be promoted to class 11th. Karnataka SSLC Result 2025 will be released in May 2025 on the official website of the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board.

After the release of the results, the Karnataka SSLC Marksheet 2025 will be distributed among the students. Students can visit their school premises to obtain their marksheets as soon as it is available. Karnataka SSLC Grading System 2025

Karnataka SSLC Grading System 2025 is a simple six-point-scale grading system, put forward by the KSEAB. The students are graded in accordance with the marks obtained in the Karnataka SSLC exams. As per the Karnataka SSLC Grading System 2025, "A+" is the highest grade while "C" is the lowest. This signifies that a student needs to secure at least 219 marks out of 625, which is equivalent to grade "C", to pass the Karnataka SSLC 2025 exams.  The detailed grading criteria for Karnataka SSLC 2025 exams are represented below:

Karnataka SSLC Supplementary Exams 2025

If the students fail to secure the minimum passing marks they will have to sit for the supplementary exam:

  • If the aggregate marks obtained in the external and internal assessments are less than 219 then it will be considered as “NC” or non-completed.
  • Students falling in the NC category are not eligible to pass.
  • These students are required to sit for the external examinations in the subsequent attempts and score more than 30% in each subject and 35% in aggregate to pass.
  • Subjects with less than 35% of marks shall be treated as NC grades.
  • For failed students, although they have passed the subject-wise external examination with 8.35 marks, however, the overall marks of external and internal evaluations are less than 35% since it is not possible to improve the marks of internal evaluation of the respective subjects, they have to improve the marks in the external examination and obtain the overall marks of 35% in that subject.

Karnataka SSLC Grading System 2025: Private Students

The grading system for private students is a little different. There will be no internal assessment and Part B examination. Part A examination will be conducted for 625 marks. Check out the grading system for private students from the table given below:

Karnataka SSLC Grading System 2025: Subject Required to Pass

  • Students can choose Hindi, English, Urdu, Sanskrit, Telugu, Tamil, and Marathi for language paper 1.
  • For language paper 2, students can choose between Kannada and English.
  • For language page 3, students will have to choose out of the options Hindi, English, Kannada, Urdu, Konkani, and Tulu.
  • Language 1 will carry 100 marks. Language Paper 2 and Language Paper 3 will carry 80 marks for the theory exam and 20 marks for the practical exam.
  • The core subjects like Math, science, and social science will carry 80 marks for the theory exam and 20 for the practical exam.
  • Students with special conditions will have subjects like Political Science, Sociology, and Economics carrying 80 marks for the theory exam and 20 for the practical exam.

How To Calculate Percentage Using Karnataka SSLC Grading System 2025?

Students can easily calculate their percentage if they have information regarding the total number of marks that they have achieved in the different subjects and aggregate.

  • Step 1: Add all the marks that you have achieved in the different subjects included in the curriculum. Make sure that your calculations are accurate.
  • Step 2: Divide the sum by the number of subjects and the product will be your percentage.

Students can easily calculate their overall percentage or grades using the Karnataka SSLC Grading System 2025. CCE pattern is followed by the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board to grade the students. Students can also calculate their division by using the grading system easily.

How can I calculate my division using the Karnataka SSLC Grading System 2025?

The division system is not followed by KSEAB however if you want to calculate your division then you can do so by first calculating your percentage. If the students score more than 60% marks then they will be provided with first division. You can calculate your percentage by dividing your aggregate total by the number of subjects. 

Will there be practical exams for private students in Karnataka SSLC?

Practical exams will not be conducted for private students in Karnataka SSLC according to the CCE system followed by them. Only theory papers will be conducted for a total of 100 marks except in language subjects where the theory paper will be conducted for a total of 125 marks. The minimum passing marks for the theory exams are 33%. 

How many marks are required to get the best grades according to the Karnataka SSLC Grading System 2025?

Students are required to score more than 90% marks to get an A+ grade using the Karnataka SSLC Grading System 2025. The overall score of the students must be more than 563 out of the total 625 marks allotted in the curriculum by KSEAB. 

How are the total marks calculated in Karnataka SSLC Board 2025?

In Karnataka SSLC exams, each paper carries 100 marks. Language Paper I is for a total of 100 marks. Language Paper-II and III have a theory exam of 80 marks and an internal assessment of 20 marks. The three non-language subjects including Mathematics, Science and Social Science also have a theory exam of 80 marks and an internal assessment of 20 marks.

Is there any change in the Karnataka SSLC Grading System 2025?

There is no change done by KSEAB in the Karnataka SSLC Grading System 2025. The same old grading system and CCE pattern will be followed by the board authorities to grade the students based on their scores.
