May 05, 2025: Maharashtra board released the Maharashtra HSC Result 2025 today. The result link was activated from 1 pm. Through the login crednetials, students can check their result online. The board will also release the revaluation dates and supplementary exam dates.

Maharashtra HSC Passing Criteria 2025

Students are required to score a minimum number of marks to be considered pass in the board exams. Check out the passing criteria followed by the Maharashtra HSC Board here:

  • Students are required to score 35% marks in every subject to be considered to pass the board exams.
  • Students must score 35% marks separately in theory and practical exams to be considered “Pass”.
  • Condonation marks will be provided to the students according to the policy followed by the Maharashtra Secondary And Higher Secondary Education Board.
  • If the students fail to get the passing marks they will have to appear for the compartment exam.

Maharashtra HSC Condonation Policy 2025

The Maharashtra HSC Board follows a condonation policy to provide students with grace marks of up to 1 to 2 mark so that they can easily pass in that specific subject. Students can check out the information given below regarding the condonation policy:

  • If the students have already received the additional marks inside the condonation limit they will not be provided any other grace marks even if they need a minimum amount of combination marks.
  • Students under the sports quota who have represented themselves at the state, national, or international level during an ongoing academic year will receive 20 Grace Marks in every subject.
  • Participants in the Republic Day parade (RDC) held in New Delhi are eligible for a grace of 20 percentage marks in each subject. Check out the table given below to refer to the contribution marks provided for every type of subject available in the HSC curriculum.

MH HSC Special Grace Marks for Sports Participation

The students who participated in any sports at state, national, or international level in the same academic year will be provided with a condonation of 10 marks. This can also be extended to 15 marks. The students should request the respective head of the Junior college for an extension of grace marks. The application should be submitted to the Divisional Secretary of the respective board within a month after the release of the result. In addition to this, a certificate from the District Sports Officer will also be required.

If the students are unable to get the Maharashtra HSC Passing Marks for Theory and Practical they will have to appear for the compartment exams. Through the compartment exams, students will be able to take the board exams in the subjects that they fail to pass. The students need to prepare for the board exams taking into account the passing marks for the different subjects. Make sure to do your best in the board exams and put your best foot forward.
