About Maharashtra HSC Political Science Syllabus 2024-25

Political Science is listed on the official website to be downloaded by the students. The Political Science syllabus is divided into two parts. Part 1 is based on the Indian Constitution and will talk about the Indian constitution and its characteristics, Fundamental Rights, Duties, Legislature, Executive, and Judiciary. Part 2 is structured more on the politics in India and will talk about Party Competition, Political and Social Movements, and New Trends In Indian Politics. Both the parts have different chapters to be studied by the students. Students can use Maharashtra HSC Sample Question Paper 2025 to revise the syllabus after completing it.

    20 marks will be allotted for the internal assessment in Political Science for Maharashtra HSC students. Students will have to go through the following exams in the practical session:

    Maharashtra HSC Political Science Question Paper Design 2024-25

    Students can refer to the detailed information about the pattern that will be followed by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education to frame the question paper for Political Science from the pointers given below:

    • The maximum mark allotted for the question paper will be 80.
    • Students will be provided 3 hours to complete the question paper.
    • Question number one will consist of 20 questions for one mark each. There will be a total of 5 sub-questions included in this question.
    • Question number 2 will consist of a map-based question for 9 marks.
    • Question number 3 will consist of 5 questions for 2 marks each. Internal choices will be present in the question.
    • Question number 4 will consist of three questions for 3 marks each. Internal choices will be present in the question.
