(a) Improvement exam in one subject:

To appear for one subject in the Higher Secondary Examination, students will have to register themselves. They will have to fill out the form and provide all details about where they appeared and passed the class 12 exam. They should appear for the improvement exams within 5 years after the release of results. Following the prescribed syllabus, students will be able to appear for the Improvement Examination. If a subject includes a practical exam, the student will have to score the minimum passing marks in both the theory and practical examinations. They will only get a single attempt to improve their score.

The board will allow migrated students from the Council to appear for the Improvement exam without re-registration. They will have to pay an extra fee of half of the Improvement Permission fee per subject as fixed by the Council. The fee will be used for the revival of the original registration number. The students should submit the application for permission for the Improvement exam to the Council within three months of the result declaration.

(b) Improvement exam in all subjects:

If students wish to appear in all subjects to improve their scores, they will be allowed to reappear for the same subjects in which they appeared during the last Higher Secondary Examination. Students must enroll themselves in the school from where they appeared and passed the last Higher Secondary Examination. They will have to appear for both practical and theory exams for the subjects which have practical exams. The students will only get a single chance to improve their score but the final result will be considered based on the best attempt out of the two results.
