Never Miss an Exam Update
The Manipur government will implement a grading system for the Class 10 board examinations starting this year, according to an official statement by the Joint Secretary of the Education Department, Elangbam Sonia. Under this system, no divisions or ranks will be awarded for the High School Leaving Certificate Examination (Class 10). Manipur HSLC Grading System 2025 includes grades from A1 to E2. The grading system being introduced will not display total marks or aggregates on the document, and no divisions or ranks will be awarded. Only "Pass" or "Fail" will be indicated, according to the statement. Students scoring 91–100 marks will receive an A1 grade, while those scoring 81–90 will be graded A2. Students with marks between 21–30 will receive an E1 grade and be marked as "Fail," along with those receiving an E2 grade. According to the new system, no total marks or aggregate marks will be displayed in the Manipur HSLC Marksheet 2025 distributed among the students. Also, no division or rank will be awarded to the students only the qualifying status shall be printed on the marksheet.
The new decision has been made by the Government of Manipur to reduce the competition among the students. The grading system will reduce the stress and burden on the students. It is also adopted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur to bring uniformity while checking answer sheets and awarding the grades to the students. Students are required to get 33% marks to be eligible to move forward with their class 10th board exams. The minimum passing grade according to the new grading system is “D”. Students can learn to compute CGPA from subject grade points (GPs). Start by adding the Grade Points of 5 subjects and divide the total by 5. The optional subject will not be considered. For example, if you score 7 marks in subject 1, 10 marks in subject 2, 9 marks in subject 3, 10 marks in subject 4, and 8 marks in subject 5, your CGPA would be (7+10+9+10+8)/5 = 8.8.
