Punjab Board Class 10 Grading System 2025 is laid forward by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB). The Punjab Board Grading System 2025 is quite similar to the CBSE Grading System . There are some minor changes in the passing criteria followed by both boards. The minor changes arise due to the difference in the maximum marks for practical and theory exams. Punjab Board Class 10 Grading System 2025
Punjab Board Grading System 2025 is a seven-point-scale grading system, with the highest grade as 'A1' while the lowest being 'D'. This Grading System helps the Punjab Board to examine the grades of the students in correlation with the marks scored by them in the Board examination. PSEB Class 10 Exam 2025 Subjects
PSEB Class 10th subjects are divided into groups A and B. In total, students have to study 8 subjects. Group A comprises 6 subjects and group B comprises 2 subjects. Check the list of subjects below:

Punjab Board Class 10 Grading System 2025: Passing Criteria
Earlier, Students needed to secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject as well as in aggregate to pass the Punjab Board Exams. But lately, a major amendment has been made to this scheme. Recently, a new passing criterion has been addressed by the PSEB which states that the students are required to score at least 20% marks in each theory as well as in the practicals to pass those subjects, while the aggregate score of both theory and practical should be at least 33% on fulfilling these conditions, they would be considered as pass.

Punjab Board Class 10 Grading System 2025: Rechecking/Revaluation
After the PSEB releases the Board Examination result 2025, instances may arise when some students might not be satisfied with their results. Students might feel that they would have scored more marks than what has been awarded to them. Such students need not worry as PSEB provides the facility of result Rechecking/ Revaluation. All they need to do is, fill out the Rechecking/Revaluation application online through the Rechecking/Revaluation portal available on the official website.
Students can log in and fill out the form by paying the required fee. The result will be updated after the board addresses the applications. The Board generally takes 10-15 days to release the updated result after reviewing the results of the applicable students.
Punjab Board Class 10 Grading System 2025: Compartment Exams 2025
As per the new criteria, the minimum marks required to pass a subject are 20% while the student needs to score at least 33% in aggregate to claim the Punjab Board Passing Certificate. These exams are a good opportunity for students who did not pass one or two subjects in the PSEB 10th board exam 2025. Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) will conduct the
PSEB 10th Supplementary Exam 2025
during
August and September 2025 (tentative). The PSEB 10 board will announce the
PSEB 10th Supplementary result
in the first week of October 2025 (tentative) on the official website. The registration window for the PSEB 10th compartment will be opened after the declaration of the PSEB 10th result 2025.
