Tamil Nadu Class 12 Revaluation 2025: Students who are not satisfied with the number of marks that they have achieved in the exam can apply for revaluation by downloading the application form from the official website of DGE Tamil Nadu. Directorate of Government Examinations Tamil Nadu has also provided two other procedures along with revaluation through which students can get a scanned copy of the answer book and the other procedure is for re-totaling of the marks. The applications for all these procedures will be submitted through the respective schools of the students. After applying for any of the services, students are liable to pay the fee according to the subjects that they have chosen for the procedure. Students who have applied to get a scanned copy of the answer script are eligible to apply for revaluation. The application for the same must be submitted before the deadline for the results to be published eventually. The results for totaling and revaluation will be available on the official website of DGE Tamil Nadu to be checked by the students using their roll number. The applications for all three procedures related to the revaluation provided by DGE Tamil Nadu must be submitted after the result declaration through the respective school premises. Students can check out the tentative timelines regarding all the procedures from the table given below:

Tamil Nadu Class 12 Retotalling 2025

Directorate of Government Examinations Tamil Nadu provides an option for the students to recalculate their overall score. An application form will be available on the official website, which needs to be filled by the students so that they can recalculate their score. During recalculation, it is checked whether or not examiners have awarded marks to every question included in the question paper. The overall calculation of the total number of marks achieved by the student will also be rechecked and verified. The carry-forward of the marks to the next page will be cross-checked accordingly through the process of re-totaling. The chances of marks increasing during this procedure are very low.

Tamil Nadu Class 12 Retotalling Fee 2025

Students are required to pay the following amount of application fee to successfully apply for recalculation of their overall score. The fees can be paid in cash or any other medium.

Tamil Nadu Class 12 Retotalling Guidelines 2025

Students must refer to the following guidelines before applying for re-totaling of their answer sheet:

• During re-totaling, the marks that are already awarded will be recalculated question-wise and page-wise.
• Undervalued answers will be considered and marks will be awarded accordingly by the examiners.
• After re-totaling, if the candidates claim for awarding more marks for any answer then the request will not be considered.
• If there is any increase in marks, a new mark certificate will be issued to the student by canceling the earlier certificate.
• If the candidates apply for re-totaling then he will not be provided with a scanned copy of the answer script.

Tamil Nadu Class 12 Answer Scripts Scanned Copy 2025

Students can also apply to get a scanned copy of their answers if they are not so sure about the marks awarded to them by the examiners during the board exams. The application form will be available online to be filled by the students by paying a respective amount of fees. This procedure will provide transparency in the evaluation system adopted by DGE Tamil Nadu. Students can request to get the answer book for all the subjects included in the curriculum by paying a nominal fee. After filling out the application form, students have to submit it through their school premises. They can pay the fee through cash. The answer script will be provided to the students in about 15 days. Students can download their answer books from the official website once the information regarding the same is available.

The application fees to get a copy of the answer script will be paid according to the number of subjects that the students have chosen to get the copy. Make sure to pay the application fees after filling out the application form:

• Students will have to pay INR 275 per subject to get a scanned copy of the answer book.

There are a few rules and regulations decided by the Directorate of Government Examinations Tamil Nadu regarding the scanned copy of the answer script, such as:

• Only the students who have applied to get a scanned copy of the answer script can apply for the evaluation in those subjects.
• After getting a scanned copy of the answer script, students can again apply for re-totaling or revaluation based on the marking scheme done by the examiner.

After getting the answer scripts, students can thoroughly check the answers that they have provided and the marks that have been awarded on those answers. If the students are not satisfied with any of the marks then they have the option to apply for revaluation. The application for the same must be submitted through the school premises before the deadlines set by DGE Tamil Nadu. Only the students who have the answer scripts can apply for revaluation in the subjects for which they have those scripts. There are some guidelines regarding the revaluation procedure taken into consideration by DGE Tamil Nadu. Make sure to read the guidelines thoroughly before applying for the procedure for it to be beneficial to your result:

• After applying for revaluation, the answer scripts of the students are checked by a three-member committee formed of subject experts.
• The marks of the students can also decrease after revaluation.
• A new marksheet will be issued to the students if the marks are decreased or increased.
• The result published after revaluation is final and no further appeal will be entertained by DGE.
• The teachers are also held accountable if the marks are undervalued.
• While downloading the scan copies of their answer scripts the candidate should download the application for Re-Valuation / Retotalling II from the official website and duly fill it and have to submit it to the concerned Chief Educational Officer along with the fee in cash within the stipulated period intimated by the Directorate of Government Examinations.
• The result for revaluation will be published in approximately 10 to 15 days on the official website.

Students need to download the application form for revaluation, retotalling, scand copy of the answer scripts by visiting the official website of the Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu.
