Tripura HS Passing Criteria 2025

To pass the TBSE Class 12th exams, students must achieve a minimum of 33% overall and in each individual subject. Out of a total of 500 marks, students need at least 165 marks to pass. The passing grade is D, with a grade point of 2.

Students should also focus on completing assignments, participating in activities, and performing well in periodic tests and examinations. If a student fails in any subject, they must re-appear for the TBSE Class 12th exams or take the compartment exams to improve their scores.

How to Calculate Percentage from TBSE Class 12th Grades

To calculate the percentage for TBSE Class 12th, follow these steps:

• Step 1 : Add the marks of all subjects, including both theory and practical marks. If there are 6 subjects, sum the marks of the top 5 subjects with the highest scores. For example: History (theory + practical), Political Science (theory + practical), English (theory + practical), etc.
• Step 2 : After adding the scores, divide the total marks by the overall possible marks and multiply by 100 to get the percentage. For instance, if each subject is out of 100 and you have 5 subjects, divide the total marks by 500 and multiply by 100%.
• Step 3 : The result from Step 2 will give you the aggregate percentage.
• Step 4 : Using the TBSE Class 12th grading system, match the obtained percentage with the appropriate grade. For example, if your percentage is 80%, your grade will be B1 according to the TBSE grading system.

The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) Class 12th marking scheme does not include negative marking. The theoretical exams are generally of 100 or 80 marks, with some subjects allocating 20 marks for practicals and 80 marks for theory, or 10 marks for practicals and 90 marks for theory.
