CBSE Class 12 English Exam Pattern 2024-25 is helpful to understand the marking scheme and weightage of topics. The two divisions in the CBSE Class 12 English Syllabus are English Core and Elective. The English core is divided into 3 sections where section A is reading comprehension of 22 marks, section B is creative writing skills of 18 marks, and Section C is Multiple Choice Questions, Objective Type Questions, Short Answer Type Questions, and Long Answer Type Questions of 40 marks. The marks distributed for the Class 12 English Elective in the CBSE Syllabus are 20 marks for reading, 8 marks for grammar, 20 marks for writing, 22 marks for literature and 10 marks for fiction.
