CBSE Class 12 Geography Important Questions 2024-25: CBSE 12th Board 2024 will be conducted from 15th February 2025. The Geography paper will consist of short answer-type questions, MCQs, and long answer-type questions. The last two questions of the paper will be based on the map attached to the question paper. The question paper will also consist of source-based questions. Given below, we are sharing all types of questions that can be included in the board question paper for Geography. CBSE Class 12 Geography Important Questions 2024-25: 1 Mark

As per the latest CBSE sample question paper, 17 questions will be included in the board exams for one mark and they will be multiple-choice questions. Check the important questions here:

CBSE Class 12 Geography Important Questions 2024-25: 3 Marks

Sections B and C of the Geography paper will consist of short answer questions for 3 marks each. Section B will have source-based questions. The answers for these shall be written in 80 to 100 words. Check out some important questions here:

CBSE Class 12 Geography Important Questions 2024-25: 5 Marks

There will be 5 long answer-type questions. The answers to these questions must be written in 120 to 150 words. Check out some sample questions from the pointers given below:

CBSE Class 12 Geography Important Questions 2024-25: Book-Wise

There are a total of two books that will be included in the CBSE Class 12 Geography Syllabus 2024-25 . There are important units included in each book to be considered by the students. You can check out the important questions for each book from the details mentioned below:

CBSE Important Questions for Class 12 Geography: Fundamental of Human Geography

The weightage of each book is 35. The most important unit in the first book is unit 3 with chapters like Primary Activities, Secondary Activities, Tertiary And Quaternary Activities, Trade, and Transport. Check the important questions here:

The second book will also come for 35 marks. The most important unit for the second book is the third unit with chapters like Resources and Planning And Sustainable Development. Check the important questions for the same here:

Some Important Long Questions

Question 1: Give brief details of the evolution of Human Geography through the corridors of time.

Question 2: Discuss the factors influencing the distribution and density of population in the world.

Question 3: Define manufacturing. Classify manufacturing industries on the basis of size into three categories and explain the important characteristics of each type.

Question 4: ‘Outsourcing has resulted in a large number of job opportunities in several countries.’ Analyze the statement with three suitable examples.

Question 5: Name the important modes of transportation used in the world for carrying which is used for carrying liquid and gaseous materials only. Mention any four characteristics of this mode of transportation.

Question 6: What do we mean by water conservation? What are some of the measures by which we can reduce and reuse water?

Important Tips to Write Answers

Students can follow the important tips given below to write effective answers. Following these tips will help students to improve the presentation of answers and score better marks.

Go through the questions in the first 15 minutes - The students will be provided with the reading time in the beginning of the exam. The students can read all the questions during the first 15 minutes. The students can prepare a strategy in their minds to write the answers, especially the long answers. The students can also decide the sections that should be attempted first.

Attempt all Questions - Students should manage the time and ensure that they attempt all the questions. When it comes to choosing the questions, students should make a wise choice. They should read the question carefully, and then decide which they will be able to write better. They should figure out the points that are to be added to the important points in an organized manner.

Focus on Presentation - The students should attempt the answers according to the marks allotted to the questions. Students can complete the 1 mark questions in 1 line. The questions with 5 marks should be explained in detail. Similarly, 2 or 3 marks questions should be written in two to three lines. The students should focus on presenting the answers in bullet points or different paragraphs.

The Geography paper will also consist of map-based questions. The last two questions of the paper will be based on the map attached to the question paper. Try to focus on completing your map exercises on time to solve these questions.
