GSEB Board 2025 Overview
The Gujarat Secondary Education Board will tentatively hold the GSEB 10th and 12th exams for the AY 2024-25 in March 2025. The GSEB HSC timetable 2025 was released on October 16, 2024 for Science, General, and Vocational streams. The GSEB SSC timetable 2025 was also issued on October 16, 2024. The GSEB SSC theory exams will be conducted from February 27 to March 10, 2025 and GSEB HSC exams will be held from February 27 to March 13, 2025. The GSEB practical examinations will be held in February 2025. The Gujarat Board registration process 2025 will begin in November 2024 for classes 10 and 12. The GSEB SSC hall ticket 2025 and GSEB HSC Science hall ticket 2025 will be released in February 2025. Tthe hall tickets for the GSEB HSC General Stream exam 2024 will be issued in the first week of March 2025.
In AY 2024-25, the GSEB Board exams will be conducted for the 100% syllabus. The state board will release the GSEB answer keys 2025 a few days before the announcement of the results. GSEB 10th result 2025 will be released in May 2025. Those failing to achieve the minimum qualifying mark in one or two subjects can appear in the supplementary exams. Students can also opt for re-evaluation if unsatisfied with their secured marks. Additionally, they should practice the GSEB previous year's question papers to clarify their doubts regarding the exam format and marks distribution.

Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) is responsible for conducting the board examinations in all GSEB-affiliated schools in the state. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board was established on September 28, 1973. The GSEB 10th board is called the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam, whereas the GSEB 12th board is called the Higher Secondary (School) Certificate (HSC) exam. Approximately 10 lakh students appear for the Gujarat Board SSC examination, and 8 lakh students for the GSEB HSC exams yearly. Students appearing for both the GSEB 10th board and GSEB 12th board should understand the registration process, admit card release, exam pattern, syllabus, question papers, and much more.

GSEB Board Date Sheet 2025
The Gujarat board released the Gujarat 10th Date Sheet and Gujarat 12th Date Sheet on October 15, 2024 on its official website. The GSEB SSC exam 2025 will be held between from February 27 to March 10, 2025. The practical exams for the GSEB HSC science stream will be conducted in February 2025. The GSEB HSC theory exams 2025 for both the Science stream and general stream will be from February 27 to March 13, 2025. The GSEB HSC vocational exams will also be held in March 2025.

Gujarat Board Registration Form 2025
The GSEB Board registration 2025 process will tentatively begin in November 2024, and the last date for the submission will be in January 2025, with late fees. Students are advised to fill up the registration form under the guidance of the school authorities. Any error in the form fill-up will be reflected in the registration and hall tickets, and students may face difficulty afterward.
The steps involved in the GSEB SSC registration process and GSEB HSC registration process are given as follows:
- Schools have to log in with the index numbers and passwords.
- They will have to submit the application details of all students.
- Students can view their applications and verify the details. It is a very important step.
- In case of any change in details, schools can edit the application form.
- The principal has to approve all the corrected and verified documents.
- The registration payment has to be made to complete the GSEB registration process.
Failure to complete the registration process on time will be penalized with late fees. The documents required to be submitted are email id, mobile number, payment reference ID, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, birth district, Aadhar card number, caste certificate, education details, photo and signature.
GSEB Board Admit Card 2025
The Gujarat board will release the GSEB SSC admit card 2025 in February 2025. The Gujarat 12th Admit Card for the general stream exam will be released in March 2025. While the Gujarat 10th Admit Card will be issued in February 2025. Students have to collect admit cards from their respective schools and carefully go through the spellings and dates printed on them. If any error is identified, it should immediately be informed to the school authorities for rectification.
The admit card contains the board name, exam name, student’s name, roll number, registration number, photograph; school details; examination center: name, details, guidelines, and exam timetable. Students must ensure that all the above specifications are written on the admit cards. They must also carry any other ID proof along with the admit card to the examination hall to gain entry. The invigilator will not allow students to appear for the examinations without a proper hall ticket; therefore admit cards must be carried daily to each examination.
GSEB Board Exam Pattern 2025
Gujarat board releases the Gujarat 10th Exam Pattern and Gujarat 12th Exam Pattern based on the syllabus of the latest academic year. Students must check the exam pattern before starting their groundwork for the examination as they will get familiar with the types of questions asked and the marking scheme. They must visit the official website to get full details of the exam pattern. To give a brief idea to the students, the exam patterns of both SSC and HSC exams are given below.
GSEB SSC Class 10 Exam Pattern 2025
The exam pattern for GSEB 10th board 2025 is given below:
- The total marks for each subject is 100.
- Students must get at least 33% to qualify for the exam.
- The GSEB class 10 question paper contains two parts: Part A and Part B. Each part carries 50 marks.
- Part A consists of theoretical questions.
- Part B is subdivided into four sections and consists of objective questions. The sections include knowledge of the subject, understanding of the subject, application-based questions and questions based on skills.
- Two sections of part B will be of 15 marks each and the other two sections will be of 10 marks each.
GSEB HSC Class 12 Exam Pattern 2025
The exam pattern for GSEB 12th board 2025 is given below:
- The exam will be conducted on the full syllabus, unlike the previous year when the syllabus was reduced.
- The questions will be based on the analytical thinking and problem-solving skills of the students.
- Competency-based questions will be introduced in the question paper as a new change.
- The full marks of the paper will be 100. The theoretical portion is 70 marks whereas the internal assessments will be 30 marks.
- Schools will conduct an internal examination to determine the eligibility of the candidates. It is mandatory to qualify for the exam to be able to sit for the final theoretical paper.
- The questions this year will be based more on real-life situations, where students will require to apply, analyse, evaluate and synthesize information.
The following changes have been released by the Gujarat board 2025 to discourage students from rote learning textbooks. GSEB also intends to test student’s reasoning and analytical skills. GSEB is hopeful that the academic standards will improve with the aforesaid exam pattern.
Gujarat Board Syllabus 2025
The GSEB syllabus 2025 is mentioned on the official website of the Gujarat board. Students can download and refer to them to start preparation. The Gujarat 10th Syllabus and Gujarat 12th Syllabus are based on real-life situations to benefit students and make academics easy and interesting. The grading pattern and curriculum are provided, making it easier for the students to prepare for the examinations. Gujarat Board Result 2025
The Gujarat board will publish the GSEB HSC result 2025 for the Science stream in May first week of 2025. The Gujarat 12th Result for General streams will be announced alongside the Gujarat 10th Result by May 2025. The GSEB 10th Results 2024 will be released a few days before the GSEB 12th Results 2024 on its official website. Students will need their seven-digit seat numbers to check their GSEB results in 2025. Students can also use the SMS facility to check the results besides the website. Students must download and save the online declared results till they receive the original mark sheets. Students unsatisfied with their grades and scores can apply for a recheck if they feel their scores could be more satisfactory. The schools provide application forms for the same and charge a fee.
Gujarat Board Compartment Exam 2025
The Gujarat Board will hold the compartment exams for the students who fail in a maximum of three subjects in the GSEB board examinations in July 2025. The students will have to register for the compartment exams through the schools using their previous admit card, subject, and photograph. Candidates can appear for three papers for the compartment exam. Students who remain absent during their SSC or HSC exams can also appear for the compartment exam. Students will receive a separate admit card for the exam containing the seat number and index number. The Gujarat board supplementary exam results will be declared in August 2025. The students will receive an updated mark sheet with the new marks after the exam is conducted.
Gujarat Class 10, 12 Compartment Result 2025
The Gujarat board is likely to release the compartment result in the last week of July or beginning of August 2025. The board will release the compartment result on the official website. The students will have to enter the portal using the compartment exam roll number. The marks will be provided only for the subjects for which the students appeared for the compartment exam. The students who get the passing marks will be able to collect the marksheet from their respective schools after a few days of the announcement of the result.
Gujarat Class 10, 12 Marksheet 2025
Once the result is announced, the students who pass the exams will be provided with the marksheets by the Gujarat board. Gujarat Class 10, 12 Passing Marks 2025
The students need to score at least 33% marks in each subject and overall aggregate to pass the class 10th and 12th exam. The students who score the minimum passing marks will only be provided with the marksheet. If students fail to achieve the passing marks, they will have to appear for the compartment exams. It will be the second chance for them to score good marks in board exams and get the marksheet.
