students figure out their grades in the board exams. A1 to D grades are available in the GSEB HSC grading system. The grading system was presented by the authorities of the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board in 2011, and since then, the same grading system has been used by the board to grade the students. GSEB HSC Grading System 2025

Each grade represents a specific level of performance. How To Calculate Rank Using the GSEB HSC Grading System 2025?
The students can easily calculate their rank by using the grading system created by the Gujarat Board of Secondary Education in the year 2011. Follow the simple steps given below to calculate your rank accordingly:
Step 1: You will first have to subtract your percentage from 100. Your percentage will be included in your result or you can calculate your percentage using the grading system.
Step 2: You have to multiply the result by the total number of students who appeared in the exam for this particular section.
Step 3: The obtained marks will be divided by 100 to get the exact rank.

GSEB HSC Passing Marks 2025
To pass the Class 12th final exams, a candidate must score at least 33% in both theory and practical/internal examinations. Additionally, an aggregate score of 33% across all subjects is required. The detailed criteria for GSEB HSC passing marks in 2025 are as follows:
A pass certificate is awarded to candidates who meet the GSEB HSC passing marks.
All external examination subjects (main/compartmental) must be passed with a minimum score of 33%.
For subjects with practical components, candidates must score at least 33% in both theory and practical work separately. A combined score of 33% is also required to pass.
Candidates exempted from one or more internal exams are eligible to take the external exams, but the result will be announced only if all other conditions for the GSEB HSC passing marks 2025 are met.
GSEB HSC Marking Scheme 2025
No necessary changes are made in the current GSEB HSC marking scheme. The maximum marks allotted for all the subjects in the GSEB HSC exam are 100. The passing marks for each subject is 33%. Students must also score 33% in an aggregate marks. It is not mandatory to obtain 33% separately in the practical and theory examination. The question paper of the GSEB HSC exam 2025 includes both descriptive and objective questions for 20% and 30% respectively. The maximum time duration for the GSEB 12th Board Exam 2025 is 3 hours. The mark distribution for the GSEB HSC theory exam is provided below:
Objective type questions - 1 mark each
Very short answers - 1 mark each
Short answers - 2 marks each
Long answers - 3 marks each
Very long answers - 5 marks each
