About HP Board
The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education was formed under the Himachal Pradesh Act No. 14 of 1968. Earlier, its headquarters was in Shimla, which was later shifted to Dharamsala. At present, the board conducts the exams for classes 10th and 12th. Annually 5 lakh students appear for the examination from more than 8000 schools affiliated with the board. There are 1846 exam centers across the state. It is also in charge of publishing textbooks for classes 1 to 12. The board tries to improve the quality of education by considering the latest standards.
HP Board is also involved in every day-to-day activity of schools running in Himachal Pradesh. For the academic year 2025, HPBOSE has discarded the two-term examination system. The exams are going to be conducted annually. Students can check out more information regarding the same from the details shared below:
About HP Board Class 10th
Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education is responsible for conducting the class 10th board exams every year. Only one examination will be conducted this year for class 10th students. There is no reduction in the syllabus. The question paper will be based on the full syllabus. The exams will be conducted in March 2025 and the date sheet will be available in January 2025. All the important information regarding the HP Board 10th Exam 2025 will be uploaded on the official website of the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education at hpbose.org. To pass the class 10th exam, students are required to achieve 33% marks as an aggregate total and also individually in every subject included in the curriculum.
About HP Board Class 12th
The class 12th board exams are also overseen by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education. The important documents related to these exams are also uploaded on the official website to be accessed at hpbose.org. Only one annual exam will be conducted for class 12 students for the academic year 2025. The exams will be conducted in March 2025 according to the date sheet that was followed by the authorities last year. The date sheet PDF can be downloaded from the official website and can be used to prepare a systematic study plan to be followed during the academic year. All the information related to the HP Board 12th Exam 2025 will be uploaded online.

The date sheet contains the date, day, subject name, and time of the examination. The practical exam dates will be communicated to the students by the school authorities and will take place before the commencement of the theoretical examination. As per the latest news, the board exams will be conducted in March 2025 by the Himachal Pradesh Board authorities. You can check the exam dates from the table given below:

HP Board Class 10, 12 Syllabus 2024-25
Students must familiarize themselves with and analyze the HP Board 10th Syllabus 2025 and HP Board 12th Syllabus 2025 before starting their exam preparation. The syllabus is available on the website in the “Download” section of the board’s website. Students can also print it out for convenience. While studying, the examinees can refer to the revised syllabus to gear up their study levels.
Candidates must first analyze the syllabus and then make a study schedule. Abiding by the same can help them to prepare for exams systematically and strategically. They must finish their syllabus as soon as possible to get ample time for revision. They can also organize their study needs by selecting the areas requiring more dedication and effort. Once you finish with the syllabus, it is advised to dedicate time to revise the whole syllabus thoroughly a few times. Also, handling questions that came in the previous years and practicing model questions can help students in a long way.

HP Board Class 10, 12 Exam Pattern 2024-25
The exam pattern will familiarize students with the marking scheme, allotment of marks for each syllabus topic, and the types of questions that can be asked in the exam. As admit cards help students to get admittance to the exam hall, it becomes imperative for them to collect it from their schools and bring it to the exam center. The admit card is a vital document that should be checked properly. The particulars printed on the admit card must be matched, and any error must be informed to their class teachers, who can take necessary action to sort out the discrepancy as soon as possible.
It will contain basic information about candidates, such as name, age, date of birth, admit card number, subject names and codes, and examination rules and regulations. HP Board Class 10, 12 Result 2025
HPBOSE will release HPBOSE 10th Result 2025 and HPBOSE 12th Result 2025 on the same day. These results should be released by June 2025. To check the results, one needs the student's roll number and birth date. For areas with poor internet connectivity, students can enroll for the SMS feature to learn their results. Students must also download a copy of the result till the original mark sheets are distributed.
The mark sheets will include the student's name, roll number, subjects name, theory and practical marks, subject-wise marks, division, and result status. Students will be able to collect their mark sheets from their schools within a few weeks of the result declaration. Collecting the original mark sheet from the school is compulsory, as the authenticity of the soft copy result is often questioned. The paper rechecking process will start after the distribution of the result. Students can file applications for re-checking of subjects in which they received unsatisfactory marks.

HP Board Class 10, 12 Compartment Result 2025
HPBOSE 10th Compartment Result 2025 will be released in August 2025. Students can check the result using their roll number from the official website of the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education. The compartment exams are conducted after the release of the results for the initial board exam. Students who do not have access to the internet can check the results through the use of SMS services. Similarly, HPBOSE 12th Compartment Result 2025 will also be released online on the official website of HPBOSE. The minimum passing marks for both the initial and the compartment exams are the same which is 33%.
