How To Calculate Percentage From CBSE Class 12 CGPA? Central Board of Secondary Education will release the class 12th results in May 2025. Grades that the students have achieved in the different subjects are reflected in their results. CBSE provides a grading scale from grade A to E. Students are required to score the minimum passing grades in each subject to be eligible for the passing certificate and other important documents. Grade A is the highest grade and E is the lowest. According to the grading system followed by CBSE, the grades are awarded to the students based on their performance according to the other students. CGPA is calculated based on the grades of the students.

CGPA stands for Cumulative Grade Point Assessment. It is calculated by dividing the sum of the grade points obtained by the students in the five main subjects by the number of subjects ie 5. Students can easily calculate their percentage from CGPA or directly by the marks reflected in the CBSE Class 12 Result 2025 . Follow the simple procedure given below to calculate your percentage from class 12th CGPA:

To obtain a subject-wise percentage you will have to multiply the grade point (GP) obtained in that subject by 9.5. The calculation of the overall percentage is also similar. Students can calculate their overall percentage as follows:

  • Overall Percentage = 9.5 x CGPA
