How to Calculate CGPA in Kerala Plus Two Exam 2025?

To calculate the overall CGPA, students need to add the percentages/grade points of individual subjects/ exams, and then multiply the sum by 1.11. Check out the entire process below:
  • Add the secured grade points of all subjects: As a first step add up the grade points of all the subjects. The sum that you will get is called the Total Grade Point (TGP)
  • Multiply the Total Grade Point by 1.11: Now multiply the total grade points by 1.11 to convert the CGPA into a percentage. This is considered to be the standard multiplier that is used in the Kerala Plus Two system.
  • Take out the Percentage: The value that you will get after multiplication is the percentage equivalent of the CGPA.
  • Example of the Calculation:
Let us assume a student has received the following grade points:
Subject 1: 9, Subject 2: 8, Subject 3: 8, Subject 4: 7, Subject 5: 9
Step 1: Calculate the Total Grade Point (TGP):
TGP=9 + 8 + 8 + 7 + 9 = 41
Step 2: Multiply the Result by 1.11:
41 × 1.11 = 45.51
Step 3: Convert into the Percentage:
Therefore, the student’s percentage is 45.51%.
