West Bengal Board 2025 Overview
The West Bengal Board is divided into two major departments: the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE), that's in charge of the exams for the 10th grade, and the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE), which is in charge of the exams for the 12th grade. WBBSE was renamed in 1964 after being founded in 1951 as the Board of Secondary Education. It organizes the Madhyamik schedule, exams, textbooks, and syllabus for approximately 11,000 junior high and high schools. The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Act of 1975 established the WBCHSE, making it responsible for creating exam rules, curriculum and selecting textbooks for 10+2 education. Both boards publish their exam datasheets on their respective websites. West Bengal Board admit cards for classes 10 and 12 will be available in February 2025.
