West Bengal Madhyamik Marking Scheme 2025
The theory and practical papers for the different subjects will be conducted for different marks. Check out the marking scheme for the different subjects included in the curriculum from the pointers given below:
- First Languages: Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Modern Tibetan, Nepali, Odia, Gurumukhi (Punjabi), Telugu, Tamil, Urdu, and Santali.
- Second languages: 1) English, if any language other than English is offered as a First Language.
- 2) Bengali or Nepali, if English is the First Language.
- Examination in Sewing and Needlework will be of four hours and fifteen minutes duration.
- Examination in Music Vocal & Music Instrumental will be of two hours and fifteen minutes duration for the Theoretical Portion.
- The examination on Computer Applications will be of two hours and forty-five minutes duration for the theoretical Examination. Practical Examination on this subject will be taken by individual schools.
- Examination on Vocational Subjects will be of one hour and forty-five minutes duration on the theoretical Examination. Practical Examinations on these subjects will be taken by the Sector Skill Council or individual schools.
West Bengal Madhyamik Passing Criteria 2025
There are a total of 8 compulsory subjects in the West Bengal Madhyamik Pariksha 2025. As per the madhyamik number division, students are required to obtain 272 out of 800 marks to pass the exam. In other words, students need to secure 34% or Grade C as per the West Bengal Madhyamik/10th exam 2025 marking scheme to pass the class 10th exam. Students who fail to secure a minimum of 34% marks or Grade C in the overall result can take the compartment exam to improve their results. Madhyamik pass marks out of 90 are 30. West Bengal Madhyamik Supplementary Exam 2025
Students who fail to achieve the WBBSE passing marks, ie, madhyamik pass marks out of 90, will be liable to sit for the compartment exams. A notification will be published on the official website of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education after the result declaration, which will include information about the compartment exam. Students can fill out the application form for the supplementary exam with the help of their school authorities. A nominal amount of application fees is to be submitted along with the application form for it to be considered. After the application forms are successfully submitted, the West Bengal Madhyamik Supplementary Exam Routine 2025 will also be published online. The result of the supplementary exam will be available on the official website of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. West Bengal Madhyamik Supplementary Result 2025 will be declared in August 2025. Students will get their supplementary marksheet after the result declaration. It must be collected from the respective school premises.
