Who can Apply for CBSE Class 10 Compartment Form 2025?
CBSE has set certain criteria for the CBSE Class 10th and 12th compartment exams. As per the criteria, students who have failed in one subject in the Class 10th board exams 2025 can apply for compartment exams. It is important to note that those who have failed in two or more subjects are not eligible for applying for the compartment exam. It is mandatory to secure an overall 33% in the subject to pass the CBSE class 10 supplementary exam. Students who failed the compartment exams will have to repeat the entire academic year and reappear for the board exams next year.
Application Process: The application process for compartment exams is usually conducted through schools. Students are required to fill out a compartment exam application form with their details and subjects for which they wish to appear in the compartment exam and pay the requisite fee to their respective schools.How to Apply for CBSE Class 10 Compartment Form 2025?
The registration for the CBSE 10th Compartment exam, like the regular board exam, is also done by the school authority. To register for the CBSE Class 10 Supplementary Exam 2025, the authority will send the LOC (list of candidates) to the CBSE Board and pay the fee. While registering, credentials like user ID and password need to be provided for login. In the case of the private student, the full subject main exam roll number and main exam center number have to be mentioned on their respective admit cards, which are required for login purposes. Such students will have to select whether they want to appear for the ‘Compartment’ or ‘Improvement’ exam and must select the year (2024 or 2025). - Step 1: Visit the official website of CBSE – cbse.gov.in .
- Step 2 : On the homepage, select the type of examination you want to appear - there will be options like 'Compartment,' 'Improvement,' 'Failure,' or 'Additional Subject.'
- Step 3: Now provide the Board examination number where you will need to enter the five-digit 'School Number' along with the 'Center Number' and select your standard/class as 10.
- Step 4: Then pay the Compartment examination fees.
- Step 5: Recheck the particulars that you have filled in the form and then click on the 'Submit' button.
- Step 6: Download and take a printout of the submitted form for further use.
CBSE Class 10 Compartment Form 2025 Fees
The registration fee for the CBSE class 10 Compartment Exam is INR 300 per subject . Students who will be appearing for both theory and practical exams in the compartment exam 2025 will have to pay a separate fee of Rs. 150 for each Practical exam/ project work. For the overseas students, the class 10 Compartment Exam Fee 2025 is INR 2000 per subject and INR 350 for each practical/project work. In case of late fee submission, one must pay a late fee of INR 2000 in addition to the regular fee. Students must pay the fee through online modes such as credit/debit cards, net banking, or UPI. Students who will not be able to pay the fee online can pay through offline modes such as bank draft or banker's cheque in favor of "Secretary, CBSE," payable at the concerned regional office.
