CBSE Class 10 Passing Marks 2025 are 33%. You are required to score at least an “E” grade to pass which is 33%. You are required to score the minimum passing marks combined in both theory and practical exams conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education to pass. You must score the minimum passing grades in all the external exams. The minimum passing marks for the main and the compartmental exams are the same. The Central Board of Secondary Education has decided to not release toppers and divisions. No overall percentage will be reflected in the results of the students. An updated passing criteria has been published by the Central Board of Secondary Education through an official notification:

  • You will be eligible to get the passing certificate only if you get a grade higher than “E” in all subjects of internal assessments.
  • You must score a minimum of 33% marks in all five subjects of external exams to pass.
  • You must get the minimum passing marks combined in both theory and practicals to pass.
  • No overall division, distinction, or percentage will be awarded to the students.
  • If you are offering a language as an additional subject then it may replace a language if you fail to secure the minimum passing marks in that language however you must still have English or Hindi as one of your languages.

The Central Board of Secondary Education does not include any distinction or percentage in the result so it depends upon the students to calculate the overall percentage.
