CBSE Class 10 Science Exam Pattern 2024-25 : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the CBSE Class 10 blueprint 2025 on the official website. The CBSE Class 10 Science exam pattern 2025 is the same as the last year. There are 5 units and in total, there are 13 chapters in CBSE Class 10 Science syllabus 2024-25 . CBSE Science theory paper will consist of 80 marks, while 20 marks will be reserved for the internal assessment/practicals. Chemical Substances-Nature and Behaviour and World of Living carry the weightage of 25 marks each and 50 marks in total.

Students should be familiar with the exam format if they hope to perform well on the board exams. The theory paper will be worth 80 marks out of the 100 total marks for the CBSE Class 10 Exam 2025 ; the remaining 20 marks will come from internal assessments.
Nearly half of the questions in the CBSE Class 10 Science Exam in 2025 will be competency-level questions, meaning students will need to use their critical and analytical thinking abilities. These types of questions may be presented in multiple-choice, case study, or source formats, among others. According to the updated CBSE Class 10 Exam Pattern 2024–2025 , the science question paper will have the following structure:

The CBSE Class 10 Science theory exam will be of 80 marks and will be conducted for 3 hours. Students will also get an additional 15 minutes to read the question paper. There will be 39 questions in all, divided into 5 sections on the CBSE Class 10 Science Question Paper 2025:
