CBSE Syllabus for Class 12 Legal Studies 2024-25: The CBSE Board has released the senior secondary syllabus for the academic year 2024-25. Students can check the CBSE class 12 Legal Studies syllabus PDF which includes eight units in total. Further, these units include multiple topics to be covered for the board exams. In addition to preparing for the theory exam, students also need to prepare for the practical exam. The theory paper will be of 80 marks and the practical exam will be conducted for 20 marks. CBSE Class 12 Legal Studies Guidelines for Practical Exam

To prepare for the practical, students will have to gather information, establish correlation between facts, analyze, present all the facts of the case, prepare a statement of legal outcome and predict the result. The students need to work carefully on the project as it holds 20 marks. Scoring high marks in the project can help students increase their overall marks.

Students will have to select three cases related to the syllabus. These cases must be civil, criminal, and constitutional.They must include the following details, such as:

  • Name of the case
  • Parties to the case
  • Citation to the case
  • Nature of the case
  • Bench
  • Facts of the case and issues involved
  • Decision of the case including Obiter Dicta and Ratio Decidendi
