Tamil Nadu Class 12 History Exam Pattern 2025 will be released soon on the official website. As per the previous year's blueprint, the history exam has 100 marks weightage, where the theory exam will be for 90 marks. There will be an internal assessment which will carry 10 marks. The 90 marks theory paper will include a total of 47 questions where students will get internal choices. The Tamil Nadu Class 12 History question paper comprises MCQs, very short answer type, short answer type, and long answer type questions.
Tamil Nadu Class 12 History syllabus 2025
includes 13 units like the Rise of Nationalism in India, the Rise of Extremism and Swadeshi Movement, Impact of World War I on the Indian Freedom Movement, the Advent of Gandhi and Mass Mobilization, the Period of Radicalism in Anti-imperialist Struggles, The World after World War II, and so on. The TN 12th History question paper will comprise 4 parts including 1 mark, 2 marks, 3 marks, and 5 marks questions.
Tamil Nadu board released the
Tamil Nadu Class 12 Time Table 2025

Tamil Nadu Class 12 History Exam Pattern 2025
As per the new Tamil Nadu Class 12 exam pattern 2025, the TN 12th paper will be divided into four sections.
- The first section will have multiple choice questions - 1 mark
- The second section will include very short answer questions - 2 marks
- The third section will have short answer questions - 3 marks
- The fourth section will consist of long questions - 5 marks
