The Central Board of Secondary Education reduced the overall syllabus for class 12th students by 30% in the last few academic years. The same deleted syllabus is to be followed this year because no new changes have been made to the curriculum. Students can refer to the last year's deleted syllabus to prepare well for the board exam. In English, Note making and Summarizing, Advertisements, Posters, Business and Official letters, Debates, and Speech are deleted from the Reading and Writing Section. In Literature also, a few chapters have been eliminated. Students can download the latest CBSE Class 12 English Syllabus 2024-25 from the official website of CBSE.

Students must avoid the topic included in the deleted syllabus so that they can focus on the main topics. They must also solve the CBSE Class 12 English Sample Paper 2024-25 available on the official website of CBSE to revise for the board exams. The theory paper in English will be conducted for 80 marks followed by 20 marks for the practical exams.
