The basic differences between ACCA and ACA are:

  • ACCA stands as a better option to work internationally than ACA as it has wide acceptance.
  • ACCA is more focused on business than ACA. This makes it a good choice for people who want to work in business-related fields, such as corporate finance or management consulting.
  • The ACCA qualification can be completed in 3-5 years, while the ACA qualification takes 4-5 years. This is because the ACCA does not require any prior accounting education or experience.
  • ACA has a more structured pathway rather than ACCA. ACA is divided into three stages which makes it easier to track progress.

 Difference Between ACA and FCA

FCA stands for Fellow Chartered Accountant. A person aspiring to become an FCA needs to practice accounting which means they have to work in an accounting firm or as an accountant for 5 years after qualifying for ACA. ACA is the first step for a person to become a FCA.
