About NITs 

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) is a prestigious institute of technology under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. All institutions of NIT are governed by the National Institutes of Technology, Science Education and Research Act 2007 which provides them recognition to all NITs of national importance. There are a total of 31 institutes of NIT which are located all over India. All NIT institutions are funded by the government of India.

NIMCET Eligibility Criteria

Before enrolling for the MCA course at the National Institute of Technology all interested candidates have to qualify institute’s entrance examination which is NIMCET. Below are the eligibility criteria for the NIMCET Examination

Educational Qulaification: 

  • The candidate should have a bachelor's degree of B.Tech/B.E with a minimum of 3 years from any recognized university or college 
  • The candidates holding a degree of B.sc or B.sc Hons or  BCA or BIT, for 3 years from any open university are also eligible 
  • The candidate must have a minimum of 60% or 6.5 CGPA out of 10 and candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category must have a minimum of 55%. And 6.0 CGPA out of 10

Nationality 

The candidate must be an Indian citizen
