FCA full form is Fellow Chartered Accountant. The FCA is a designation that is given to a Chartered Account or CA. Once when candidate clears the chartered accountant course he/she is known as Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA). FCA is also used to designate the person who has achieved a higher level of experience in the field of CA.

As mentioned above the full form of FCA is Fellow Chartered Accountant. Generally, Chartered Accountants, or CA are categorized into two types that include Fellow Chartered Accountants (FCA) and Associate Chartered Accountants (ACA). Further FCA is divided into three levels- level 1, level 2, and level 3. FCA Level 1 is conducted twice a year and level 2 and 3 exams are organized once in year. Fellow Chartered Accountants or FCA exams are conducted by FCA Institute. The FCA examination is organized for candidates who have cleared their graduation or have achieved a minimum of 4 years of work experience. The FCA exam is conducted in Computer Based Test mode (CBT).

  What are the Eligibility Criteria for FCA?

  • Candidate must clear all levels of the CA examination which includes CA Foundation, CA Intermediate, and CA Final.
  • Candidate must have experience of a minimum of 5 years in the field of accounting, commerce, taxation & finance management.  
  • Candidates who graduated as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are also eligible for the FCA course. 
  • The graduates of CFA should also have experience minimum of 5 years to take admission in the FCA course.
