Divisions of CISCE

Majorly the CISCE is divided into 3 types

  •  ICSE for class 10th: The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE full form) was established to evaluate the general education course using English as recommended by NES of 1896. It provides education in schools for the duration of 10 years which means from classes 1 to 10th. The students have to study total 6 subjects and indulge themselves in social work
  •  ISC for class 12th: This was established to pursue after completing 2 years of course beyond the examinations conducted by ICSE. ISC was also made as per the NEP 1986 recommendation. The students have to study English which is a compulsory subject along with 3 to 5 elective subjects and should also get qualifying marks in social work and community service.
  • CVE: CVE stands for Certificate of Vocational Education examination which is designed to prepare and support students for vocations. This was set up under the MHRD recommendation via JCVE with English medium

The subjects included in ICSE are divided into three groups

 Group 1: This consists of all compulsory subjects

     Group 2 : In this, the student has to select two subjects as per their interest. The subjects offered are

  •  Economic applications, commercial applications, physical education, yoga, computer applications.
