What is the Full Form of REET?

As mentioned, the full form of REET is Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers. It is a State level entrance test which provides an opportunity to apply for Level 1 and 2 teachers at Govt Schools in Rajasthan. Level 1 examination is for primary classes from 1 to 5 and the Level 2 is for Upper primary classes which is from 6 to 8.  BSER conducts this examination every year.

REET Selection Process

The  Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET full form)  is divided into two rounds, the candidates have to first clear the written exam which will be conducted for 150 Marks and the second will be interview & document verification. Candidates who qualify the written round can only appear for the interview round. 

Who Can Apply for REET?

REET eligibility criteria is different for both the levels.The BSER has given detailed criteria on its official website. Below mentioned are some requirements for the candidates to meet the eligibility criteria of REET.  :

REET Eligibility Criteria for Level 1 Primary Teacher (classes 1 to 5)

  • Completed Senior Secondary with a minimum of 50% marks, appearing or passed in the final year of Diploma In Elementary Education.
  • Passed with a minimum of 50% in Senior Secondary, appearing or completed Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE.
  • Pursuing or passed in the final year of 2 yr Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • There is no age limit. 

REET Eligibility for Level 2  Upper Primary Teacher (Classes 6 to 8)

  • Pursuing or passed in the final year of 2 yr Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Passed with a minimum of 50% in graduation, appearing or completed in 1yr on B.Ed.
  • Completed Senior Secondary with a minimum of 50%, cleared or appearing in the final year of 4yr Bachelor in Elementary Education.
  • Graduated with a minimum of 45% and cleared or appearing in 1 yr of B.ed, in accordance with NCTE.
  • There is no age limit to apply for REET. 

How to Apply for the REET?

Interested candidates will have to fill the REET application form online which will be available on the official website. After filling out the application form, the candidate will be asked to pay the application fee. After making payment and submitting the REET application form,, the candidate will be eligible to appear in the REET examination, full form of which is Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers .
