KAS full form is Kerala Administrative Service. It is a state-level examination started in the year 2018 and is conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) to recruit candidates for government posts that include special industry officer, deputy collector and many others.

The examination is State level and is conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) for selecting candidates for the posts of KAS officer Stream 1, 2, and 3. Through the examination candidates for the post of Deputy collector, finance secretariat , etc are selected. For the KAS examination candidate has to register himself by filling out an application form and after they have to go through the process.The examination process consists of three stages: firstly candidates have to clear prelims after that in the main examination and lastly they have to clear the interview round.

 Eligibility Criteria for KAS

Candidates before filling out the application form for Kerala Administrative Service (KAS full form) must go through the eligibility criteria for the examination.

  • Candidate must be an Indian Citizen
  • An applicants should not have any criminal record
  • Those applying for stream 3 should have completed training under a cadre in government
  • Candidate must hold a graduation degree

How to Apply for KAS?

The following are the steps to fill KAS application form, full form of which is Kerala Administrative Service.

  • Visit the official website i.e kpsc.kar.nic.in
  • On homepage find the notification on KAS application form
  • Click on apply online option
  • Create your own ID and password for registration
  • Reopen it
  • Select the application tab
  • Choose KAS category no.
  • Enter all the required information
  • Upload all the documents
  • Select the exam center
  • Review the filled information
  • Pay the required fees
  •  Save or take the printout of the application

Exam Pattern for KAS

The KAS is divided into 3 stages which are mandated to be clear by each candidate

1. Prelims Exam:  It consists of 2 papers and total marks 100 for each paper. The questions will be objective type and candidates have to complete their paper within 90 minute

2.  Mains Exam : It consists of 3 papers and the question paper will be of 100 marks.Unlike prelims, questions will be descriptive in nature.

3.  Interview: This is the final stage of the KAS selection process. Candidates who successfully appear in prelims and main can further sit for the interview round. The total marks for the interview is 50.
