KAS full form is Kerala Administrative Service. It is a state-level examination started in the year 2018 and is conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) to recruit candidates for government posts that include special industry officer, deputy collector and many others.

The KAS is divided into 3 stages which are mandated to be clear by each candidate
1. Prelims Exam: It consists of 2 papers and total marks 100 for each paper. The questions will be objective type and candidates have to complete their paper within 90 minute
2. Mains Exam : It consists of 3 papers and the question paper will be of 100 marks.Unlike prelims, questions will be descriptive in nature.
3. Interview: This is the final stage of the KAS selection process. Candidates who successfully appear in prelims and main can further sit for the interview round. The total marks for the interview is 50.
