AMIE full form is the Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers. The AMIE is an entrance examination for students applying to the engineering stream and the examination is conducted by the Institution of Engineers. About  AMIE

Syllabus 

The AMIE syllabus is similar to B.E/B.Tech. The syllabus is divided into two parts, Sections A and B are similar to the first and second years. Section A comprises 4 subjects and Section B consists of 9 subjects and lab subjects. 

Duration 

The AMIE provides flexible duration, as in order to complete sections A and B it allows a maximum duration of six years for each section which brings the total duration to 12 years

What are the Eligibility Criteria for AMIE?

Before filling out the application form candidates must go through below-mentioned eligibility criteria for Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE full form):

  • Candidate must have completed 10+2 with subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
  • Candidate must secure minimum of a 45 % in 10 +2

The eligibility criteria is further divided into 2 groups:

For Technician:

  • The candidate must clear the examination with a minimum of 45% for enrolling in MAIE course 
  • Applicants should have subjects like English, mathematics, chemistry and physics in their 10+2
  • The candidate must secure a minimum of 45 % in 10+2

For Senior Technician:

  • The age limit for a senior technician should be 18 years
  • The candidate must be Engineer 
  • The candidate must have qualification in engineering diploma
