CPT full form is the Common Proficiency Test. It is an entry-level examination conducted to select candidates in the Chartered Accountancy (CA) course by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. It is recognized as CA-CPT. This exam is renamed as CA Foundation. The examination is mandatory to become a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
