SAT full form is the Scholastic Assessment Test. It is conducted to test the verbal and quantitative skills of the students by US college admission. SAT examination is taken to select students who want to take admission to UG programs in the USA.

As mentioned above the full form of SAT is Scholastic Assessment Test. SAT is conducted to test the skills of students which they learned from their schooling such as numeracy, verbal, writing skills, and quantitative skills. For taking admission to US colleges and universities the students are mandated to appear in SAT. The examination is conducted by the organization named College Board. The SAT in India is held seven times a year in the months of August, October, November, December, March, May and June

 History of SAT

The first SAT was created by Brigham in 1926. He along with his team combined a total of 9 different subjects for SAT which consists of 315 questions and the time duration was 90 min.

The candidates planning to appear for SAT must go through the following eligibility criteria

  • 19 & below age candidates are eligible
  • No restriction on appearing in SAT
  • Their schooling should be completed

  • Conducted for 3 hours
  • Questions are based on Multiple Choice
  • In some math questions, the candidates may have to writeen in descriptive manner
  • No Negative Marking
